Johannesburg's most forward-thinking, backward-looking parties have been going down every month for a year now! Ever since their debut night last November marc Latilla and Charles Leonard have been invading the CBD with crates full of afro-pop, Nigeria 70s, township jive and a bunch of other stuff you won't hear anywhere else. And it has been tons of fun. On Saturday they're celebrating their first birthday - here's what they have to say about the event:
"REFORM! is turning 1 this month. Hard to believe really...
So we're going to throw a big Saturday party on 13 Nov instead of our regular cosy Thursday party.
It'll be at the usual Kitchener's Carvery at Milner Park Hotel cnr DeBeer & Juta Str Braamfontein
from 9pm with a R20 cover charge.
There may even be cake...or shooters...or both."
