Park Acousitcs with Last Dinosaurs

Park Acoustics is happening again on Sunday! This episode will be headlined by Australian band, Last Dinosaurs with support from so many good local acts that it kills me. I'll be on VJ duty for the DJs once the bands finish. Consider me stoked!

The Plastics - White Rabbit Tour

My friends in The Plastics recently asked me to draw them a poster for an upcoming tour up country. Here's what I came up with:

You are invited to Last Dinosaurs Joburg!

Next!

Tomorrow night I am playing what promises to be a really great gig. For starters, the supporting acts are some of my favourites from across the country. Then there's the main act, Australia's own Last Dinosaurs!

Too say I'm excited for this one would be an understatement!

Your invited to Hello Ambasador!

I've got a very eventful weekend on the horizon with a whole bunch of awesome stuff going down. I'll be you to all these awesome stuff and first, we've got something very special!
Hello Ambassador will be Pretoria's very first creative confrence! Taking place in the city's State Theater, the organisers have assembled a fantastic, diverse collection of local creatives to speak at the event. Including...
... me!

This is the first time I'll be speaking at an event of this kind and I'm really looking forward to chating about VJing and throwing parties and animating stuff and playing shows and releasing music and drawing kittens. I am up on Saturday afternoon. Here's the full lineup.

After the conference, there's gonna be an epic roof top after party.

The Make Overs are playing which should tell you everything you need to know. (If not, what you need to know is this is gonna be awesome.)

Kidofdoom - Oppikoppi 2013

I've been pretty silent for the last while, haven't done a post in ages looking back on any of the audio visual adventures I've been having over the last while. Let me just say, these adventures have been numerous and all kinds of awesome. Of all of them, one thing that has really exploded my heart into hundreds of happy little shards, is the Kidofdoom reunion tour.

I really can possibly exagerate how down happy it's made me to be back on stage with these boys and we've been lucky enough to play 5 completely stellar shows on the tour so far.

Below, is a video of our last (and by far most massive) show of the tour, Oppikoppi Bewilderbeast. Our previous shows at the festival were really special and it was so great being able to return to Koppi. Honestly, I do think this show took the cake and really eclipsed those past appearances, awesome as they were.

MK shot the whole thing and a good check of the show can be viewed below. If you're wondering how I look when I'm the happiest man on the planet, hit play now.

The band will be performing on Sunday at Park Acoustics. Unfortunately, as a daytime party, there aren't any visuals, so no keytar antics for me. BUT I have a trick or two up my sleeve, so don't rule this Sassquatch out of the equation.

Then, the (probably) last time Kidofdoom will be on stage for a long long time will be for Rocking The Daisies 2013. An incredible festival, I am just stupid excited for this!

You are invited to Yoh! Under the Sea!

On Saturday night I'm playing the next Joburg edition of Yoh!

The Cape Town based cross-medium monsters have (amongst other things) been throwing a steady stream of super fun nights that combine film appreciation with unhinged dance-floor antics. Recently starting spreading out to start throwing nights in Jozi, I'm really stoked to be part of their next Gauteng episode; "Under The Sea"!

BEWILDERBAIRRE- Al Bairre Goes To Oppi

Cape Town's Al Bairre are one of my favourite new bands to come out of South Africa in the last few years. Unfortunately, cosmic forces have conspired against me, making sure I missed seeing the band live at every turn. That was, until Oppikoppi, where I finally got to see the kids in action, and what awesome action it was!

The band made a wee documentary about their adventures getting up North to play the festival. Watch it below!

In other news, the kids want you to vote for them to play with The Hives. For the sake of all that is good and righteous, you should probably do this.
