Hi5 is back!

It's been more than a year since we buried High Five Records with Jukebox last March.

This Saturday, Ri and I will be unleashing Hi5, a whole new monster that we've pieced together from chopped up bits of the 12 parties that formed the original High Five Records.

This Saturday, the twentieth of April, we're happy to present: Hi5 "High Fidelity Edition"!

Last week I invited you to the best thing ever pretty much AKA The Phoenix Rising Magic Bus Tour. Featuring roughly half of my most favourite acts in the country, the bus is making it's final stop tonight, returning to Cape Town after blowing minds around the country. I'd walk through fire to make sure I'm at this tonight.

I heart sea-cat!

So a couple weeks back I was invited to do an illustration for the French magazine "I Heart". It was for their Cape Town issue, which seemed like the perfect opportunity to combine my two favourite things to draw: kittens and giant monsters attacking helpless cities. In this case, the kitten power comes in the form of a giant seekat (that's means "octopus" if your afrikaans isn't that hot) and the city that's about to be torn apart is of course Cape Town.

Anyway, with the issue out for more than a month now, I reccon it's cool if I finally reveal this guy. May I present to you a piece I call "Tentacle cuddles from The Great Cape Sea-Cat"!

South Africa's most-excellent weekly bust out, Untamed Youth has got a pretty lovely string of lineups planned for the month of April.
